GARDEN NEWS

First of all, we would like to thank the P&C for their wonderful contribution of seeds for our school garden. We are looking forward to running a couple of market stalls next term. The children of Room 17 have been very busy working away in the garden. Here is what a few of them have to say about it:

"I like planting different types of plants then taking care of them. It is fun to watch them grow and I love watering them at lunch." - Noah.

"I enjoy watching how the plants grow and learning about the different varieties. I have learnt that plants need a good amount of sunlight, water and some good fertilisers to grow nice and healthy. I have fun watering the plants with the hose." - Aryan.

"I think the garden is really, really good for children to learn about. It teaches us how to care for living things and I have learned that you should always mulch your gardens to save water." - Kaity.

"I like working out in the garden because I can learn all about how plants grow. It is interesting to see what the different plants look like but my favourite at the moment is the chilli plants because they all come in different colours, such as: Red, Green and even Purple." - Steffani
